This is a true story, except it has not yet happened. It will happen. In the Future, that is. But the Future is like a

  pigeon;

no matter how close it comes, it is difficult to catch. And, if you do catch it (not a pigeon, but the Future), it plays a trick to get away, by changing into the Present.

Vina will be ten years old when she catches her Future. Young, by ordinary standards. However Vina, upon living one decade, will be extraordinary, meaning quite unlike other primary-school-age children. In fact, she will have quit school, preferring to be taught by her professorial father.
